Yasemin Beykont

Hi! I am a 4th year Ph.D. candidate in the Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications at The Pennsylvania State University. 

My research interests include critical advertising studies, political economy of media, meme studies, and promotional and popular culture. I am particularly interested in exploring and critiquing the ways that memes are appropriated by advertising and promotional culture.
